How much do cars go for at Auction?

by admin on September 29, 2009

Because of a recent divorce. I’m stuck with two vehicles. A 2007 Jeep Commander and 2005 Mazda 6. Both are going to cost me an arm and a leg to get rid of so I think I’m going to be forced to let one get repo’d. How do I find out how much these cars normally go for at auction? Because I’m going to owe the difference.

20 percent below wholesale trade in value is about what you are looking at.

High Book
Mid Book
Low Book
Wholesale/Trade In Book

20% lower = what you will get.

Well it depends on the condition of the car and milege and location.
Based on the west coast region, assuming 07 Jeep Commander being 2WD w/ V6 and Wagon Sport, and below 10k miles, in the auction, it was sold for $20k.
05 Mazada 6 assuming 4D Sedan S, milege of 15k, in the auction, it was sold for $15300.
Hope this helped. If you give me the exact milege and option of the car, I should be able to give you the exact information.
